TeaterBLIK was founded in 2007 by the theatre’s artistic director, Gertrud Exner.
The theatre seeks to create a platform for innovative performing arts for children and their adults. Its artistic vision is rooted in a visually striking, sensory and musical approach that combines drama, object theatre, dance and music.
The theatre regularly tours both in Denmark and abroad, and TeaterBLIK is committed to maintaining strong ties with the international theatre community through collaboration, touring and artistic exchange
TeaterBLIK is currently based at Vangled 32, on the island of Fanø. The theatre’s facilities have recently undergone a major refurbishment, with the auditorium and foyer upgraded with a focus on environmental sustainability.
