TeaterBlik is a new theatre company under the artistic leadership of Gertrud Exner.
The company aims to establish a platform for innovative theatre for children and adults.
Our vision is a strongly visual, sensorial and musical form of expression that combines drama, object-theatre, dance and music.
For several years Gertrud Exner has worked in close collaboration with Catherine Sombsthay, of ‘Compagnie Médiane’ *** (France) and in Denmark with the director Catherine Poher ***. Those partnerships resulted in two performances for small children: ‘The Way Round’ produced by Barkentin Teater (•), and ‘Rain’ produced by Teaterværksted Madam Bach (•).
Both performances were warmly received both in Denmark and abroad, and TeaterBLIK wishes to keep in contact with the international theatre world, through collaborative work, touring performances and artistic exchange.
TeaterBlik has been granted funding from the music and drama commission of the Danish Arts Council for a new production for old people and children in the upcoming season.
